I don't know about you but I have commitment-phobia when it comes to picking a color to paint a piece. My thought race, "what if it makes the piece look too big/small? What if people think my taste is all in my mouth? What if the piece just looks wrong? What if, what if, what if . . .?
I didn't have this much trouble committing to marrying for the first time at the age of 48!
I envy and admire those furniture whisperers who press resolutely forward, color in mind and end up with a work and a glory.
Is bold better?
I finally have a method that works for me. I let the piece tell me what color it wants to be. I know that sounds like hoo doo, voo doo stuff but it works for me. I look at it, spend time with it and walk away and revisit it until I know the answer and I am a more relaxed Reclaim-ologist!
